Job Title: Anesthesia Technician – Surgical Services

Location: Syracuse, NY

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) / Evening (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM) – Rotating

Pay:

• Local Pay: $1,500/week
• Travel Pay: $1,652/week

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Perform room turnovers and ensure readiness for upcoming cases
• Assist anesthesia providers during procedures, including:
  • Central line placement
  • Arterial line (A-line) insertion
  • Swan-Ganz (thermodilution catheter) placement
• Troubleshoot anesthesia machines across various models
• Maintain infection control and sterilization standards
• Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies and carts
• Support procedures where general anesthesia is administered

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program
• National certification through ASATT
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience with cardiac cases and invasive line procedures
• Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and reprocessing methods
• Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center
