Responsibilities

this job offer reports to the Director of Support Services and is responsible for the following tasks:
• supervises and directs all aspects of the Environmental/Laundry Departments, henceforth known as the Support Services Department.• Assists the Director of Support Services in the preparation of annual department budget.• In the absence of or as directed by the Director of Support Operations, attends Department Head, Q/A, Emergency Management meetings.• At the direction of or in the absence of the Director of Support Services, process work order requisitions and assignments to appropriate staff. Supervising assignments as necessary.• Supervises Support staff through subordinate managers where appropriate.• supervise the operation and maintenance of the Facility in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and guidelines.• Maintains equipment in proper and safe operating condition as per manufacturers recommendations, replacing as needed.• Provides Record Retention for as required by NYSDOH• Maintains SDS records for Support Services Department.• Processes payroll for Support Services Department.• Assist in the everyday Operation of the Support Services Department.• Maintain inventory and PAR levels for Support Services Department. Order/receive supplies as needed.• supervise contract vendors• Perform Facility/Environmental Inspections and ensures correction of deficiencies noted.• Assists with In Servicing of Support Staff• Performs all other related tasks as directed or as may be necessary in order to comply with the established Policies and Procedures of the Facility.• Respond to emergency situations on a 24 hour on call basis.

Qualifications

Formal suitable education Associate Diploma or equivalent practice: 3 years Minimum expertise: Requires capability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions. Language capability: capability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. capability to write routine reports and correspondence. capability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
