Position Summary

The Janitorial Crew at TruFusion is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members, guests, and staff. This role is essential in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene that contribute to the exceptional member experience. The Janitorial Crew ensures that all areas of the studio including workout rooms, locker rooms, common areas, and equipment are consistently clean and well-maintained.

Facility Cleanliness & Maintenance

  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of all studio spaces, including fitness rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, showers, and common areas.
  • Ensure all equipment, mats, weights, and props are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors throughout the facility.
  • Empty trash and restock essential supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning products.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front desk, retail area, and member lounge spaces.
  • Follow all sanitation protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment.

Support for Daily Operations

  • Assist in preparing studio spaces for classes by resetting equipment and ensuring rooms are organized.
  • Report member conflicts or concerns to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
  • Monitor and report facility maintenance or repair needs to management.
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory and notify management when restocking is needed.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established cleaning protocols.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, polite, and courteous in all interactions with staff, members, and vendors.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Receptive to direction; able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping roles preferred but not required.
  • Basic familiarity with OSHA cleaning and chemical safety standards preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification preferred.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Studio-based setting with music and ambient lighting.
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals; proper protective equipment will be provided.
  • Must be able to work in warm and humid conditions following heated fitness classes.
