Bard College's Environmental Services Department is seeking Full and Part-time Environmental Specialists to assist our core team in maintaining standards of cleanliness in all areas of the college.
Full-time employees receive a full benefit package which includes health insurance, sick-time, paid time off and tuition benefits.
Environmental Specialists will be assigned to any area of the College, including dormitories, classrooms, offices, and service areas. prosperous candidates will be able to read, write, and perform and use simple arithmetic; follow written and verbal instructions; work independently and as a member of a team.
The ideal candidate will have good communication and customer service expertise; the capability to follow instructions, use cleaning materials manuals, operate power equipment, and handle sanitizing agents. capability to work in a team environment and communicate with other employees, faculty, and students in campus community is required. Physical effort consists of lifting, pulling or pushing average to heavy weights; some work is performed in difficult positions. Previous practice preferred, but not essential.
