Purpose of the Role

As the Order Fabrication & Shipping Supervisor, you report directly to the Fulfillment Manager and own the full fulfillment cycle—product fabrication, order preparation, collation, packaging, shipment processing, and manifesting—while structuring the workflow and organizing the fulfillment workspace for peak performance.

Core Functions

• Build, refine, and manage a cohesive end-to-end workflow process
• Keep the right work moving through the department with accuracy, efficiency, and urgency
• Translate production schedule priorities into clear direction for the team
• Prioritize, facilitate, and expedite production to hit customer due dates

Data, Metrics, and Reporting

• Ensure reporting tools are accurate, complete, and consistently maintained
• Monitor data collection methods, accuracy, and reporting frequency for continuous improvement
• Collect and analyze performance data daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to evaluate workflow health

Process Improvement & Systems

• Advance workflow system development and continuous process improvement
• Recommend and develop future automated order picking systems and processes
• Benchmark and track shipping systems and small-package delivery options to reduce freight expense for GSP and our customers

Communication & Collaboration

• Provide timely, concise status updates to pertinent personnel and senior management
• Foster required, positive interaction between Fulfillment and other departments

Policy, Training & Workspace

• Refine, communicate, and manage department policies and procedures
• Establish and monitor training for both new hires and existing team members
• Maintain organization of the fulfillment workspace for safety, flow, and productivity
