This part-time Passenger Service Agent role provides front-line customer service to airline passengers at Dulles Airport. You greet travelers, assist at the ticket counter, and support a smooth check-in and boarding experience. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with the public in a fast-paced, international airport environment and who can consistently deliver professional, courteous service.
Responsibilities
You join a dynamic airport operation where every day is different and you interact with travelers from around the world. The role offers part-time hours, typically 20–25 per week, with the opportunity to increase to around 30 hours during peak summer periods if you choose to pick up more shifts. You gain valuable experience in the airline and travel industry, build transferable customer service skills, and work in a professional, team-oriented environment that values reliability, professionalism, and high-quality service.
Work Environment
You work on-site at Dulles Airport, primarily at the check-in and ticket counters in a busy terminal setting. The pace is fast and requires standing for extended periods while assisting passengers. This is a part-time position, generally offering 20–25 hours per week, with the option to work up to approximately 30 hours during peak summer months if additional shifts are available and you wish to take them. Parking is located off-site, and you must plan to arrive at the parking lot about 45 minutes before your shift to allow time for the shuttle ride—approximately 30 minutes—to the terminal. The role involves regular use of computer systems and keyboards for check-in and ticketing tasks, as well as occasional lifting of luggage up to 50 pounds. The dress code requires a professional appearance: a black suit jacket and slacks, a white button-up shirt, and navy matte leather shoes without embellishments such as buckles or buttons. You will initially supply this uniform until you receive tailored airline-branded uniforms. The environment is highly customer-facing and diverse, requiring consistent professionalism, courtesy, and punctuality.
