As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu HI you will serve and safeguard the airport its facilities travelers directing and managing flow of traffic enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

• 20 Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check drug screen and physical exam
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate calmly and clearly to the general public

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors travelers and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate with local authorities first responders and/or site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals public areas parking locations and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entry points restricted areas and credential requirements while following post orders and reporting unusual conditions maintenance concerns and/or policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity logs incident reports and pass-down information and provide directions or general assistance to the public when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
