Kaplan Early Learning Company is growing and seeks to hire a Set- Up Specialist / Box Truck Driver. (CDL Not Required) **Sign- On Bonus $1,000.00**

About the position:

Incumbent is responsible for ensuring quality product assembly, proper loading/unloading and the safe operation of a box truck to deliver customer orders across interstate lines. Accountable for ensuring compliance with safe driving regulations of various states and DOT requirements.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Drive a 26-foot straight box truck across state lines, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with state / federal driver requirements. Will fly to customer's set up location, as needed.
• Load and unload the trucks; assemble product at delivery site and set-up classrooms per the customer /sales representative's direction; dispose of empty cardboard.
• Supervise temporary staff at customer's site.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Ensure expense reports are submitted with appropriate documentation to supervisor in a timely manner.

Position Requirements Include:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Two years of experience operating company owned vehicles (box trucks or cargo vans) to transport goods, preferred.
• Six months warehouse, forklift, light truck driving and/or trailer switching experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations within the past three years required. CDL not required.
• Must have or be able to obtain Real ID or passport to fly to customer locations when needed.
• Ability to qualify for and maintain the required company paid DOT driver's medical physical.
• Must be able to safely operate 26-foot box or straight truck (26,000 lbs. loaded / 16,500 empty).
• Basic reading and writing skills, aptitude for assembly of products and use of hand tools required.
• Ability to safely drive and navigate with GPS and/or map.
• Must be professional, customer oriented, exhibit good communication skills, detail oriented, and possess good problem-solving skills.
• Requires the ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
• Position requires time away from home for a week at a time, occasionally two weeks, including weekends.
