Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Account Manager with a strong background in the paper mill industry to join our team in Lewiston. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical liaison, fostering robust relationships and ensuring the seamless implementation and optimization of specialty chemical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main technical point of contact for paper mill clients, building trustful and enduring relationships.
• Provide strategic guidance, best practices, and proactive advice to optimize product implementation.
• Resolve complex product-related inquiries and mitigate business disruptions efficiently.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of specialty chemical solutions and client-specific technical environments.
• Educate clients on new features and best practices to enhance product adoption and usage.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to create strategic account plans and manage opportunities in CRM.
• Lead technical consultations and contribute to Business Reviews, clearly articulating the value delivered to clients.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure commitments to clients are fulfilled.
• Provide ongoing feedback from clients to Portfolio Management and R&D teams.
• Ensure consistent on-site presence for adequate service, support, and to foster sales growth.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Paper and Pulp specialty chemical solutions, technical support, and account management.
• Proven customer service skills to nurture and sustain positive client relationships.
• Capability to address and solve technical challenges, enhancing customer processes with in-depth product knowledge.
• Document and relay service insights during each client interaction within CRM.
• Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with a focus on business development.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in technical/mechanical on-site testing.
• Excellent oral and written communication, along with presentation skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, CRM, and analytical tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and willing to travel up to 25%, including overnight stays.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
