- Orientation: 24 hours; onboarding items/labs complete within 48 hours of contract signing

Responsibilities
- Conduct medical necessity reviews to determine appropriateness of care according to evidence-based guidelines
- Lead discharge planning and care coordination, including length-of-stay (LOS) planning and timely documentation of screenings and discharge plans
- Perform utilization review, including concurrent/continued stay reviews, and contribute to appeals and denials with DRG knowledge
- Identify plan-of-care changes and communicate updates to the care team; coordinate community referrals and resources
- Document in the Epic EHR with HIPAA compliance; ensure consistent, timely entries for screenings and discharge plans
- Support a hospital-based Case Management unit across adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations

Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho or a valid state/compact license in hand at time of submittal
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of case management experience preferred; previous charge experience preferred; travel experience not required (first-time travelers accepted)
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to perform medical necessity review, discharge planning, and utilization review; knowledge of DRGs; familiarity with community resources
- Willingness to travel and comply with 100-mile radius rule (no local candidates)
- Orientation and onboarding: core items/labs completed within 48 hours of contract signing; RN orientation modules average 4–6 hours onsite
