As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului HI youll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers staff and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols engaging with the public and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License
• 21 years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check drug screening and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors travelers and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances medical situations and/or other critical events in a calm problem-solving manner and report observations to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals public areas restricted access points parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances exits and other assigned areas while verifying access permissions directing foot traffic and documenting security-related concerns policy violations and/or maintenance issues.
• Support government location operations by assisting with crowd management providing directions and information and maintaining a professional presence during routine activity and/or elevated traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
