We're looking for a Senior Building Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer Lead in Indianapolis Indiana, who is excited about working on advanced facilities projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to both lead and support projects at some of the world’s most state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for budget, schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule.  Your multi-disciplined, highly interactive team will successfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Utility and Plumbing systems and components.  At times you’ll have opportunities to provide on-site assistance during startup. You will coordinate work activities with other design and engineering professionals and project management.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

•8+ years of practical application of mechanical engineering and design, including HVAC, Utilities, plumbing, and related building mechanical systems

• Minimum 5 years Life Sciences consulting engineering experience is preferred

• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred

• Ability to lead a medium to large multi-national team of designers and engineers

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams, with the client, and construction team

• High level understanding of Building Controls and experience with sequence of operations.

Location

• This role is staffed out of our Indianapolis office as a hybrid position with majority of time worked remote, and approximately 2 days per week in the office on average as needed for projects

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

• Proficient working knowledge of Revit software

• Industrial design experience including pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar

• Client-facing skills

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas 

• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $180,100.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
